Archery World Cup Stage III
India bags four silver medals
India returned from Ogden (US) after winning four silver medals in the World Cup Stage III championship in which the country's ace Deepika Kumari contributed three.
Deepika, who is emerging the country's most successful women archer, won the silver in the recurve women's individual event, teamed up with L. Bombayla Devi and Chekrovolu Swuro to win silver in the recurve women's team event. She and Jayanta Talukdar joined forces to bag a silver in the recurve mixed team event.
The fourth medal came through Compound women's team. The three Indian archers, Jhano Hansdah, Manjudha Soy and Gagandeep Kaur won India its first silver medal in a World Cup event.
