Sahara India adopts Indian Archery
Sahara India Pariwar, the largest sports patronizer in India, as a part of its emotional commitment towards the betterment of sports in India, has pledged to support and adopt the sport of Archery in India. Sahara will sponsor the men's as well as women's National Archery teams for the next 4 years.
Sahara India will also pay incentives to the top 10 Archers of India each year on the basis of their annual performance and the most consistent performer and promising archers would be selected annually in consultation with Archery Association of India. In addition to this, Sahara India Pariwar will also be the Title Sponsor of the Senior National Archery Championship for the next 4 years.
The support provided by Sahara is based on the huge potential of this Olympic discipline to propel India onto the international centre-stage and increase India's medal prospects at the Olympics, Asian and Commonwealth Games. The support is intended to relieve the Archers of financial worries so as to help them concentrate on the game to perform better and bring greater glory to the nation. This will help to create role models and, in turn, enhance the popularity and awareness of these sports leading to more youngsters taking Archery, as a profession.
